Best Time to Visit

June to November. The Great Ruaha River dries to pools from August, concentrating incredible numbers of animals.

Park fees $30/adult/day (lower than northern parks). Mid-range camps $250-500/night. Luxury camps $500-1,200/night.

Getting There

Bush flights from Dar es Salaam (2hrs) or Arusha. The nearest town is Iringa (2hrs by road). Very remote — flying is strongly recommended.
